About Claudia

Claudia Albrecht grew up in Austria, where she started playing the violin at age 8 and gained first orchestral experience with the local Youth Orchestra, which had her play numerous concerts in Austria and Germany, and took her on international orchestra tours to Greece, Spain and France.

At age 14, she started studying the violin at the Vorarlberg state conservatory with Maria Kikel, where she played with the conservatory string orchestra as well as the Vorarlberg state conservatory orchestra.
Claudia earned her degree of Magistra artium (MA) in Music Education from the Mozarteum University Salzburg, where she studied violin with Martin Mumelter and Toshio Oishi. During that time, she played with several chamber music ensembles and participated in multiple orchestra productions across the Western part of Austria.

Claudia has been a core violinist with several orchestras including the Collegium Instrumentale, the Vorarlberg state conservatory orchestra, and the University of Montana orchestra (during her Fulbright year in Missoula). She is currently a core violinist with the Bozeman Symphony and enjoys playing with the Intermountain Opera Bozeman as well as the Glacier Symphony Orchestra.
