Orchestra Auditions

Glacier Symphony Orchestra is holding auditions for our substitute musician list on September 26 from 4 PM—7 PM in the Glacier High School band room. If you are interested, please submit a resume to info@gsocmusic.org. Audition clips are encouraged but not required.

Deadline for scheduling an audition: Monday, September 21, 2026

GSOC is currently auditioning for our substitute musician list for the following instruments:

Flute
Oboe
Clarinet
Percussion
Violin
Viola

Per service compensation (an average of 5 services per series):

Principal: $75
Section: $45

Per diem and mileage rates apply for musicians traveling more than 50 miles, and housing will be arranged.

An in-person audition is greatly preferred. However, in the event that you're not able to make it, you may submit a video audition. The video must have been recorded in the last 30 days and be made in one take—no cuts. At the beginning of the video, please state your name, the date, and the excerpts you have chosen to play. Please email your video, along with your resume of playing experience, to info@gsocmusic.org.
