Hi, From the Glacier Symphony TEAM!
We are so thrilled to bring back the Nutcracker with San Diego Ballet, Glacier Symphony and local dance studios for a third year in a row! Thank you for being a vital part of this magical event and we are so excited for your talented dancers to participate.
We would like to express sincere thanks to Marisa Roth of Northwest Ballet who has served as the Local Rehearsal Director and studio liaison for the production. We are so grateful for all of the hard work put in by all the local dance studios participating, your individual dancers and the parents who support them. Glacier Symphony has been working around the clock and our musicians are perfecting the music for The Nutcracker as we speak - we are so excited! And of course, we are thrilled as always to welcome the San Diego Ballet Company into our valley to share their talent with the audience and share this experience with your dancers. You will see our appreciation reflected in our program (see a partial preview to the program on this webpage) and presentation.
Now to get to business - please read the rest of this webpage carefully for IMPORTANT instructions and notices regarding the performance.
PHOTO/VIDEO NOTICES:
Please no audience photography. Please respect this request as it originates from our partners at San Diego Ballet Company and we wish to be very respectful of their standards and requests.
The San Diego Ballet Company does permit professional photography or video captured by Glacier Symphony. We completely understand that the no audience photography request is tough when you want to capture this magical moment, so each year Glacier Symphony has shared all photos from the performance with studios and parents of the dancers after the show to try to compensate. In previous years, our Marketing Manager has captured professional photo and video for the performance. She will not be present at this performances this year due to a family commitment, so we are contracting with a professional photographer to capture one performance. We plan to deliver these photos following the performance but want to notify you that coverage will be slightly different this year, and we appreciate your patience and understanding.
IF YOU WOULD NOT LIKE PHOTOS CAPTURED OF YOUR CHILD: PLEASE NOTIFY GLACIER SYMPHONY BY DECEMBER 12TH AT PAULINA@GSOCMUSIC.ORG WITH A DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF YOUR CHILD, THE PARTS THEY PLAY IN THE PERFORMANCE, AND YOUR STATEMENT REQUESTING NO PHOTOS. IF YOU DO NOT MAKE THIS CONTACT, YOU ARE PROVIDING US WITH IMPLIED PERMISSION TO CAPTURE YOUR DANCER ALONG WITH THE OTHER PERFORMERS.
