Emperor & titan: Mahler 1

wachholz college center

Saturday, October 18 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 19 at 3:00 p.m.

This grand concert features two powerful and popular works from the repertoire by Beethoven and Mahler, composers who were pivotal in launching new aesthetic courses for music, Beethoven, bridging Classical and Romantic and Mahler, Late-Romantic and 20th century. Pianist Alon Goldstein, a Glacier Symphony audience favorite, returns as soloist in Beethoven’s most dramatic and final concerto. Plus, the symphony will perform Grammy Award winning composer Jessie Montgomery’s thoughtfully compelling Hymn for Everyone composed in 2021.

    -Alan Roy, Concert Attendee

  • "Fantastic symphony orchestra hosting friendly and inviting events! We attended our first Symphony performance last month since moving to Kalispell and tremendously enjoyed it. We highly recommend supporting this gem of an organization in our community."

    -Kyle Ziegler, Concert Attendee

  • "The wonderful Glacier Symphony and Chorale offers a year-round schedule of top-notch classical programing. The musical quality of their performances rivals what you would expect to see in a major city. Maestro John Zoltek brings world class skill and charisma to his role as conductor and music director."

    -Jennifer Li, Concert Attendee

  • β€œWe were entirely speechless after seeing Ode to Joy, Handel's Messiah, and the Nutcracker. Your entire team did an outstanding job! Y'all are on par with symphonies from larger cities. We are so proud to call Kalispell (or in our case, Lakeside), home!”

    -Jacqueline Montoya, Concert Attendee
