Ways to give to your symphony
Donate & join the maestro circle
Glacier Symphony Orchestra and Chorale annually recognizes its donors’ generous contributions through the Maestro Circle program.
Ticket sales only cover one-third of our operating costs. Your donations allow us to continue producing the finest in Flathead Valley concerts in the new McClaren Hall and share educational programs with local youth. Please consider any of the giving options below. Have an idea for supporting the symphony that isn’t listed here? We also provide custom solutions that may not be shown below. For more information, contact us at marie@gsocmusic.org or (406) 407-7000.
Youth music education partner
Directly support our educational programs that open youth up to unprecedented musical experiences. Investing in the young minds and talent of the Flathead Valley community to promote the future of music and opportunities for our local children is at the heart of the Glacier Symphony Orchestra and Chorale mission.
Legacy Gifts, Tax-advantage donations, in-kind contributions and more
Consider legacy gifts, tax-advantage donations, in-kind contributions and more to show your support of Glacier Symphony and Chorale's future.
Have you heard about the Montana Endowment Tax Credit? Did you know this is a way to get up to a $10,000 credit on your taxes? By getting this credit, it is a win-win that benefits you as well as your favorite local nonprofit. Montana is one of just a few states to offer a credit like this. We encourage the friends of the symphony to capitalize on this opportunity!
The Montana Endowment Tax Credit (METC) offers you a credit of 40% of a qualifying planned gift's federal charitable deduction, up to a maximum of $10,000, per year, per individual. It also allows a credit of 20% of a gift's federal charitable deduction for a direct gift by a qualified business up to a maximum of $10,000 per year.
The state of Montana considers certain types of “planned gifts” from individuals such as charitable gift annuities, deferred charitable gift annuities, charitable trusts, and gifts of paid-up life insurance to be donations that qualify for the METC. Planned gifts are a way of giving that allows donors to maintain access to income during their lifetime, if desired, provide estate and tax planning tools, and build permanent wealth for Montana’s charities, nonprofit organizations, and local community foundations.
Please contact us at 406-407-7000 or email marie@gsocmusic.org to learn more about the alternative giving option available that provide unique benefits to you.
